No film feels more ready for autumn than Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Turning leaves and characters that leave, take each other to school, fall back, and fall in love are what it brings (or bRings).

Strongly checkommended.

In a theater and after Wonder Woman’s credits, I heard a man say “That sucks” (since he realized that her movie did not have a post-credits scene).

Yet the absence of that type of scene works well for the film. Post-credits scenes are to the Wonder Woman movie what men are to the Amazons (and also what the “Godkiller” sword is to Diana). She, the Amazons, and … Continue reading

A TV series is a ride that opens more than one eyelid. That program and/or craft is steered by a pilot.

Each character on that ride could represent an episode. People (who follow a pilot) make a show or a ship float.

If Val Kilmer’s Iceman was out of shape, he might be called Snowman

(when he’s playing volleyball, jumping over sand)…

The possibility of Terrence Howard’s James Rhodes joining Captain America’s side (instead of Iron Man’s)

could make the conflict in Captain America:Civil War more interesting and more realistic (since Terrence Howard’s James Rhodes was replaced by Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes and James Rhodes is supposed to be Iron Man’s close ally).

Regarding Oscar Isaac Apocalypse’s style: Those wires or things on the side of his head and neck kinda have that striped headcloth/pharaoh nemes (and cobra-hooded) look

which could help logically explain why or how Apocalypse often seems to have a trunk-like neck. Part of me hopes that his face can or will shapeshift into the jackal face of Egyptian god Anubis, and that the Oscar Isaac … Continue reading

Inside Out earns bonus points for being a Riley-themed rainbow inclusive bridge

between and released fittingly between the Golden State Warriors’ June 16th 2015 NBA Finals victory (in which Riley Curry appears) and the Supreme Court’s June 26th 2015 same-sex marriage ruling. Baller memorable landmark…

She could not keep a straight face during the scripted ordeal.

So her reaction to the gaffe will be in the gag reel… As a leader, she’d like to be polite and correct (yet she heard a snide comment about the inept)…

If Shadow Ballerina somehow becomes a live action movie character,

I can’t think of anyone more qualified to play this character than actress Summer Glau. I had this casting idea while watching the movie Knights of Badassdom (which she’s in, and which I enjoyed and continue to enjoy as … Continue reading

Any sequel or movie that features a weird team of underdog characters may have a considerable challenge to match or improve upon the quality and depth of the “X-Men: Days of Future Past” film

(which could be the Inception of dystopian historical fiction movies). Bonus points for its soundtrack, its thoughtful use of Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle”, and its subject matter matching its Memorial Day weekend release.
