Sometimes the excessive repetitiveness of a song’s chorus causes me to consider that the opposite of that chorus’ message might really be true.
Maybe the singer of a suspiciously excessive chorus is in denial. Or a “fake-it-’til-you-make-it” sense of optimism could really be going on.

The soon-to-be-father actually referred to his not-yet-born-child as his “retirement plan”.
I don’t know how serious or non-serious he was when he said that, but i think that his apparent plan can raise interesting questions about one’s own purpose, motivation, autonomy, and identity.
